Support Bigfoot Buses

Bigfoot Buses is seeking WA Transportation Commission (UTC) approval to provide shuttle service connecting the Greater Seattle area with The Gorge Amphitheatre and Stevens Pass.

As part of the application process, we are currently collecting support statements and transportation-needs information from community members, businesses, organizations, and destinations that would benefit from additional transportation options.

We Need Community Support Statements

The UTC requires applicants to demonstrate that a transportation need exists for the proposed service.

Support statements are required to document:

  • Transportation challenges experienced today
  • Demand for additional transportation options
  • Benefits to riders, businesses, organizations, and destinations
  • Public need for the proposed routes

Submit a Support Statement

We welcome support statements from riders, individual travelers, businesses, organizations, groups, clubs, destinations, and any community members.

Support Statement Tips

When completing the Transportation Need section, focus on your personal
experience or business experience. Describe transportation challenges you
currently face or are aware of and how a shuttle service could help.

You do not need to write a long statement. It can be as long
as a few paragraphs or as short as a few well-written sentences.

Keep It Personal

The most persuasive statements are based on real experiences:

  • How transportation affects you.
  • How transportation affects your customers.
  • How transportation affects visitors to your destination.

There is no need to discuss regulations, licensing, or business operations. Focus on the transportation need and how additional transportation options would provide value.
