Frequently Asked Questions
How can I support the project?
Visit the "Support Us" page to see how we currently need help .
Why are you collecting support statements?
The Washington State UTC requires these statements to demonstrate there is a need for operating new shuttle routes within the state. It's required for all new service to be approved in Washington.
Is Bigfoot Buses operating today?
No. The company is currently working through permitting, planning, and operational readiness activities with a planned launch of May 2027.
When will service launch?
Current target launch is May 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
When will tickets become available?
Ticket sales will begin after operating authority has been obtained and launch schedules have been finalized. This means some of the May tickets may become available last minute. We will keep everyone up to date on the website as we move through the permitting process.
What destinations are planned?
The initial operating plan will have routes to:
- The Gorge Amphitheatre
- Stevens Pass
Are schedules finalized?
No. Schedules are currently under development. If you'd like input on the routes, there is a link in the "Routes" page and on the "Home" page to suggestion pickup locations. At the beginning of 2027 we will be asking the community more about what time pickups and drop offs should be. These requests will be sent out through social media, website survey links, and to anyone who has subscribed with their email.
How much will tickets cost?
Ticket prices are not final. We currently estimate round trip tickets to Stevens Pass to cost in the $40-$50 price range and round trip tickets to The Gorge to be less than $200.
